Environment

Our commitment to being a good corporate citizen includes a firm commitment to environmental protection in the areas where we operate. That commitment includes utilizing industry best practices to minimize any impact our operations may have on the environment. Part of this process includes the development of environmental impact assessments which will be updated throughout the course of a project. Throughout that process, JHI will seek to engage government and community stakeholders at all levels.

Health and Safety

We are committed to the health and safety of our employees and contractors with the goal of an accident free work environment. JHI’s strategy to achieve this zero accident goal is to provide the proper working environment along with industry leading training and equipment in a culture that thinks first and always about safety.

Community Relations

We are grateful to be part of the communities in the countries in which we operate and we take our obligation to be good citizens seriously. In Guyana, JHI has an excellent working relationship with our local partners, Mid-Atlantic Oil & Gas, as well as the various government and private sector stakeholders integral to the development of our project. We are committed to a culture of transparency in our operations including development of proper channels to engage community leaders on our plans and to see how we can contribute to the growth of the host community.
